A Little Bit of Tayven

Our little Tayven is a little over three weeks old now. It makes me a little sad to think that he is already growing and won't be a little newborn for too much longer. I love the newborn stage. He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces at his two week check up a week ago, so I'm sure he is over 8 pounds now. After three weeks of being home, here are a couple of things about him.

- He loves his bath! Shawn and I usually make it a team effort when it comes to bath time. He seriously slept through his first bath we gave him! As long as the water is warm he won't make a sound and loves to be lathered up with lotion afterwards.

- He loves to be wrapped tight. As long as his hands are close to his body he is comfy!

- He loves spending time with Dad. Shawn is such a good daddy to him!! Shawn has been super ever since he was born. He changes diapers (without being asked), studies with him, plays playstation with him, and rocks him. He is always calling throughout the day while he is at school to see what Tayven and I are doing and if he can do anything for us. He is the dad I thought he would be plus so much more!

- He loves to suck his pacifier when he is super tired. I let him suck on it while he is trying to get to sleep, but we are trying not to let him get in the habit of sleeping with it.

- He loves to be rocked and talked to. He will just take it all in when he is wrapped tight, someone is talking to him and is being rocked. I love this time with him! He is so precious when he looks up at me with those wide eyes and just stares at me.

- He hardly ever cries. It was a little hard at first trying to figure out what I needed to do for him because he doesn't cry that often. I still wake up to him in his cradle just trying to find something to suck on rather than crying.
-He is our little farter. We will be sitting there and Tayven will fart like no other! Shawn says Tayven has already beat him the 3 weeks he has been here compared to the 24 years Shawn's been around!! I had to excuse him at his 2 week check up because he farted while the doc was talking. My mom and I had to just laugh!

-He loves to lay on his tummy. We just started doing this the last day or so and is pretty content while he lays there.
- He loves his tongue. We had a 3D ultrasound done when he was on the way and he stuck his tongue out as us then! A lot of the times he is either playing with his tongue or it's hanging out while he is sleeping. We think it's pretty cute now, but hopefully he gets over it and doesn't have his tongue hanging out of his mouth when he is 2 years old walking around!

We can't get enough of this boy and love everything about him!!

He is so cute! I need to post more photos of Teague. I lost our camera battery; however, realized I left it at the beach house that we went to about 3 weeks ago. They are mailing it to us and then I'll be able to take more pictures. Tayven is such a cute little boy!!
