18 months

Our Tayven is now 18 months! We took him in for his 18 month check-up and he hated every minute of it! He cried and yelled "all done" the whole time. He weighed 26.8 pounds and to get one shot.

A few things about Tayven:

-He loves to play with any kind of ball but his favorite is a "baball" (basketball). He will run with it, bounce it, and try to shoot it.

- His favorite toys are his cars. He could play for hours with them and is very particular on how he lines them up (all facing the same way, etc).

-His favorite food is chips. If he sees Shawn or I eating chips he immediately says "chip".

-He loves to say "hi" and "bye" and most of the time will blow kisses with the bye.

-He loves Curious George! He loves to watch "george" first thing in the morning.

-He loves to color and is really good at helping "eeup" (clean up) the crayons when we are done.

-He loves to play outside. We went for a little walk the other day and he played on his truck outside.

-He is officially old enough for nursery and does pretty good in there. He has been going since he was was 13 months old due to our callings in the nursery.

-He loves to dance. I had to take him to dance with me one night and when the music turned off he ran to the stereo saying "dance" and wanted to turn it back on.

-His favorite song is five little monkeys swinging in a tree. He has been able to do the actions for awhile now.

-His favorite movie was Curios George 2, but I just bought him Cars and he is pretty addicted to that now.

-He hates his crib. He got really sick a couple weeks ago and before that he was doing really good at laying in it for nap time and bed time by himself to fall asleep. He won't have anything to do with it now and most nights we lay by him on the floor to fall asleep. If we are lucky and doesn't wake up enough to know what's going on we lay him in his crib to sleep, if not he is spoiled and sleeps with us.

-He loves my brother Damon's dog Max. He will run to different windows and to the back door calling for "Max".

-He loves electronics. He will sit and play with Shawn's phone for hours going in to different apps, sending text messages and making phone calls.

-He loves to talk on the phone. If he gets a hold of one of our phones he will bring it to us and say "hi" and we usually call someone and let him talk on speaker phone.

-He hates to take his pajamas off in the morning.

-He loves to sit on the toilet with his potty chair, but hasn't gone yet.

-He has quite the vocabulary these days. He is learning a lot of words but he still will talk jibberish and think he is saying something.

We love this kid and are so grateful he is a part of our family!
